Centred on Dunhuang culture and combining contemporary art with musical composition, this production reveals the absence and restoration of Dunhuang culture within a contemporary context. The cross-media performance is divided into four chapters: “Returning Form”, “Returning Sound”, “Returning People”, and “Returning Affinities”. Through a collaboration between new media artists and composers, with musicians performing live, it reconstructs the cultural significance of Dunhuang through art and music.
