Winds Platform Annual Concert - "Stations Along the Way" Music is a travelers through time, carrying the memories and emotions of every era. The Winds Platform annual concert, titled "Stations Along the Way," features a selection of classic melodies spanning half a century, from the dazzling lights of Broadway and the fervent pulse of rock music, to the hazy nights of jazz bars, the elegant and timeless classics of Japanese music, and even the immortal golden oldies of Mandopop and the cries of Cantonese rock. This is a musical journey through culture and style; each piece is a station, marking a generation, a sentiment, and a story that belongs to you and me. During the concert, the orchestra will perform The Carpenters' classic "I Need to Be in Love" with warm and resonant euphonium, recreating that longing and persistence for love. In addition, the orchestra will present several wind instrument versions of popular and rock classics, including the cheerful rhythm of "Y.M.C.A.", the rock spirit of "Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies" and "Glorious Years," and the deeply moving "Endless Love," showcasing the orchestra's effortless performance skills across classical and popular genres. From the epic grandeur of "Terracotta Warriors" to the classical Chinese charm of "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon," from the Japanese romance of "The Seventh Night of July" to the French melancholy of "Autumn Leaves"—this musical journey will take listeners on a time-traveling adventure, allowing them to rediscover emotion in familiar melodies.
